Secret Waterfall Hike from Medellín
About the tour
We want to inspire anyone who wants to live our experiences and become part of the beauty of Colombia. You'll arrive at the spot and discover a beautiful trail through our cloud forests, waterfalls and rivers. The idea is to connect with Pacha Mama (nature), entering the habitat of pumas, ocelots, opossums, orchids and birds — especially the 'cacique candela' — and many other species that live in this nature reserve, just 30 minutes from Medellín.
We meet at 9:00 a.m. at Calle 10 #43c-13 and finish between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. The one-way hike to the waterfall takes 1 hour and 30 minutes; we enjoy the waterfall for 30 minutes and return along the same trail (about 1 hour). Difficulty level: medium to easy. Total distance: 4 km (2.5 miles).
Recommendations: bring extra shoes that can get wet (no flip-flops), clothing for swimming in the waterfall, a towel, water and a good breakfast. Not suitable for people with severe obesity, the elderly or those with mobility issues.
